TECHKNOWLEDGY™

An important feature of our innovative Techknowledgy-driven approach includes the use of state-of-the-art computer hardware, Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS), Knowledge Management software, and specialized Technology Roadmapping Software.

Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis SOFTWARE

The research efforts of NICE will involve the assembly, review, and analysis of thousands of hours and thousands of pages of disparate research data and information across remote research sources. In that regard, NICE will utilize Computer Assisted/Aided Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS) to more efficiently manage this complex process.  CAQDAS is the use of computer software to aid qualitative research such as transcription analysis, coding & text interpretation, content analysis, discourse analysis, etc.

NICE has entered into a special arrangement with MAXQDA for the use of their software to address its text/data analysis requirements.  MAXQDA is one of the world's leading software programs for computer-assisted qualitative data, text and multimedia analysis. Created and distributed by VERBI GmbH, the software is designed for both qualitative and quantitative research (mixed methods research) in academic, scientific, and business institutions. TECHNOLOGY ROADMAPPING SOFTWARE

Technology roadmapping represents a powerful technique for supporting technology management and planning.  While CAQDAS and Knowledge Management software are suitable for the initial development of a roadmap, a different type of sophisticated software is required if the process is to be taken forward. To address this need, NICE has entered into discussions with global roadmapping software specialist, Innovation Framework Technologies to serve as its exclusive provider of technology roadmapping software and support.

Innovation Framework Technologies (IFT) helps companies dramatically improve their innovation performance by implementing management software that delivers best-practice business processes for technology innovation and new product development, including: strategic and technology roadmapping, idea management, portfolio management, resource capacity planning, innovation opportunity analysis, Stage-Gate governance and project management.  With headquarters in New York and Paris, IFT operates throughout America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Knowledge management software empha-sizes an approach to build knowledge out of information that is managed or contained. It includes a range of software that specializes in the way information is collected, stored and/or accessed. Knowledge management software provides a means for enterprises to innovate and build new knowledge within the organization.

NICE has been awarded accredited institution status and has been accepted into the IBM Academic Initiative Program. This prestigious strategic alliance provides NICE with access to critical knowledge management software products and access to IBM systems hardware at no charge. In particular, NICE has identified IBM’s Lotus Software suite of knowledge management software products for implementation and integration into its “Techknowledgy” agenda.

International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) is a multinational computer, technology and IT consulting conglomerate. IBM is the world's fourth largest technology company. It manufactures and sells computer hardware and software (with a focus on the latter), and offers infrastructure services, hosting services, and consulting services. IBM Lotus Software delivers robust collaboration software that empowers people to connect, collaborate, and innovate while optimizing the way they work.
